The sari is a living art form, presented in this series as both object and witness. Six yards of sky-blue silk with delicate silver embroidery. This fabric, my mother's sari, holds my place in time and memory. 

We rise to lightly graze the sky.

Jason Reblando, an internationally recognized photographer and artist, served as juror. Reblando is an Associate Professor of Photography at Illinois State University and a Fulbright Fellow. His work explores cultural memory and the legacies of imperial narratives through photography, collage, and archival images.
